I built a rig about a month and a half ago now. All bought from newegg.

i7 2600k (not overclocked)
MSI nvidia 570 gtx (not OC)
8 gb Crucial Ballistix Ram 1333
850 Power Supply
750 GB sata HDD
Z68P-DS3 Gigabyte Motherboard
Windows 7 64-bit

Everything seemed to work fine but then I BSOD several times while playing starcraft 2. I brought my comp in for diagnostics at the local computer store and they came up with failed Memtest86+ on my original 8 GB 1600 Corsair Vengeance Ram. I exchanged the ram on newegg for new 8bg Crucial Ballistix Ram. I ran memtest86+ at home and it came up with no issues. I hadn't played any games for a while after that (it runs flawlessly when not playing any games). I went to play Starcraft 2 again recently and i managed to play longer without any freezes or crashes; but, once again after a few games i got another Blue screen. I figured it may be windows so i wiped everything and re-installed the OS and all software. I also ran chkdsk, which came up with 0 bad sectors. I installed skyrim today and when i went to play, i kept getting freezes in the INTRO of the game (free look mode sitting in a moving carriage). I lowered the settings to medium (though it auto set at high based on hardware). I managed to get further where u can create your character. (I found that it froze at high settings when the other person in the carriage started speaking) In the middle of my character creation i received a blue screen.

this was the code:
0x000000F4
(0x0000000000000003, 0xFFFFFA8009E2E060, 0xFFFFFA8009E2E340, 0xFFFFF800033838B0)

Can anyone help?

Attached should be the zipped file from the BSOD forum post intructions
Also should be a zipped file of the direct minidump

Thank you

Ok i removed norton and installed MSE. now, at the same spot as it was freezing before, it blue screened again. This time it was with a different error and did not minidump. this is what it said:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The windows subsystem system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x
The system has been shut down

Ran Prime95 all night. Came back with no failed tests. Went to run OCCT for GPU this morning and blue screened within 15 seconds of starting the test. could there be light at the end of the tunnel?

May very well. GPU's often are the problem but is it power, heat, the graphic ram, or the card itself?

I cant say for sure. I was monitoring my gfx card program and it seemed to crash when it hit about 65 degrees. Im going to replace the gfx with another and run the OCCT again. Hopefully it will clear some things up. It shouldnt be power cause i have an 850 watt power supply. Shouldnt be heat because it runs at a stable 40-45 even after im done with games (Battlefield 3 and Team Fortress 2 are the only games i could get it to run smoothly on). My guess would be a bad spot on the gfx ram or the card itselft could be defective. Good thing there are warranties.

Did the second dump after norton was gone suggest anything?

Still the same. newest points to an I/O error so you might want to run chkdsk

A- CHKDSK /R /F:

Run CHKDSK /R /F from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt.

Do this for each hard drive on your system.

When it tells you it can't do it right now - and asks you if you'd like to do it at the next reboot - answer Y (for Yes) and press Enter.

Then reboot and let the test run.

It may take a while for it to run, but keep an occasional eye on it to see if it generates any errors.

See "CHKDSK LogFile" below in order to check the results of the test.

B- Elevated Command Prompt:

Go to Start and type in "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)

At the top of the Search Box, right click on Cmd.exe and select "Run as administrator"

C-CHKDSK LogFile:

Go to Start and type in "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter

Expand the Windows logs heading, then select the Application log file entry.

Double click on the Source column header.

Scroll down the list until you find the Chkdsk entry (wininit for Win7) (winlogon for XP).

Copy/paste the results into your next post.
