BSOD and Firefox Problem

Hi

I've got a Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit OS.
Custom built.
Built a couple of months ago.

I'm getting regular and random BSOD with this message:

Quote:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 2057

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 1a
BCP1: 0000000000005003
BCP2: FFFFF781C0000000
BCP3: 000000000002433F
BCP4: 0002434100048676
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\020612-19812-01.dmp
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-1457062-0.sysdata.xml
I have no idea what's causing this, I haven't added anything new or changed anything.

Also in Firefox it crashes randomly and regularly too. Both started happening around the same time although I'm not sure if it's causation or correlation.

Anyone here able to help me out?

Hi.

Follow these steps and upload here the crash\bsod files.

Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

In meantime uninstall Firefox for testing purposes.

Update these software\drivers,

Ralink RT2860 series Wireless LAN Card (you may have a different manufacturer)

Ralink-A MEDIATEK COMPANY

Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC

Realtek

Then run RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Let it run until at least 7 passes are completed, or errors are found (whichever comes first). The longer you run it, the better.

Finish
and post back.

Thanks.

I've downloaded the Realtek file but I don't know what to do with it. There's no .exe file or a 'Read Me' with instructions.

Follow the steps in Driver Install - Device Manager to install drivers from a folder full of driver files (yours are not XP drivers, but the procedure is basically the same). Do not do Part Two of that tutorial.

Thanks

I'm running the check now.

It's on:
pass 23%
Test #6
Errors:2616

That's a lot of errors.

I'm going to leave it throughout the night and check back here in the morning.

EDIT:
I've just been through the tutorial and says that I should stop the test.

I'll stop it and check the RAM in the morning.

Well, lot of errors in memtest, that is a faulty ram.

Read carefully and follow step by step the ""Part 3: If You Have Errors:""

RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Finally went through all of the RAM and I've identified the one that was on the fritz.

I've used the computer without the stick and it's working perfectly.

Thanks for all the help.
