Four BSODs and one system freeze this year, need help analyzing

This Toshiba laptop has been very stable until the last 5 weeks. I've had 4 BSODs and a system freeze requiring a power down to get things going again. The latest BSOD & the freeze both happened this week. I would appreciate suggestions in how to proceed.

Thanks,
Gordon

Welcome to SF.

Please update drivers for your NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M, audio driver, and your Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless adapter.

I'm checking your dmp files.

**EDIT - update drivers and let us know how your pc behaves

Thanks for the specific recommendations. I've updated the NVIDIA & Realtek drivers. The audio drivers all reported as current. The system boots more quickly and seems snappier. I'll post an update if I experience any more BSODs.

Did you see anything else in the dmp files when you looked at them?

No, I didn't. Somebody else on the forum might though. Still good? No BSODs?

No BSODs, but a couple of interesting network/system lockups two days ago. I've changed a few things and think I know the root cause. I intend to some testing to verify, but for now will just keep an eye on it.

Here are the details, they are the same for both lockups. When the Toshiba laptop turns off the display per the power saving settings I couldn't get it to come back on. Additionally, the wireless and wired network crashed. When I went to another PC in the house I get a report that a duplicate IP address has been assigned. At this point no PC on the network can access the Internet, although all the PCs can access the router.

It looks like the root cause may be having the Toshiba laptop connected to the network both wired and wirelessly. My reason for suspecting this it that I appear to have eliminated the problem just by turning off the Toshiba wireless. I suspect it could be caused by an odd corner condition with the wireless connection being controlled by the laptop and the wired connection being controlled via USB and the docking station.

I want to see if I stay lockup free for a week or so. If so, I intend to try to replicate the conditions to see if another lockup happens. I'll keep you posted.

Yikes! It looks like I spoke too soon. When I walked into my home office this morning I was greeted by a BSOD. What's the right process for collecting and uploading the information? Should I delete the Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 folder in My Documents and let the Windows_NT6_BSOD_v3.03_jcgriff2_.exe program regenerate everything, or should I leave it in place and re-run the program?

Update to BSOD. After rebooting I got a security alert from Microsoft Security Essentials. I've attached a screen capture of the message. The threat was successfully removed.
