Laggy Laptop and a lot of "not responding"

my laptop's battery went out during recovery. then i connected it to AC and started recovery again but now it's very laggy and i get a lot of "not responding"s.
PLZ help
. thanks a lot

I did eveything you said and i noticed few good changes in laptop's performance but it's almost the same.

I did exactly what you said but it didn't show any errors. SFC /SCANNOW Command came back with no integrity violations. microsoft fix it finished without any errors too , but laptop's still laggy.

Are you sure you only unselected non-Microsoft services? Removing any Microsoft services from startup can make things worse. If you did unselect only non-Microsoft services, we should move to a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html of Windows 7. Recommend steps 1-3 in http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html#post1839164 for obtaining installation media and backing up any important data just in case. Repair install usually goes off without a hitch, but a backup is still recommended in case the unforeseen should happen.
