Vwififlt.sys renamed to .old stopped 9f Driver_Power_State BSODs

Here is my original post : Windows 7 64bit with a atheros built in 9285 wireless card, usb Asus awus 036h that I also use for my virtual machines and virtual box with about a dozen different vms that I use often. I had occasional 9f bluescreens driver_power_state or something like that only when trying to shutdown the computer or restart once in a while it would take a while and then blue screen. I debugged the dump and found out it was from the infamous vwififlt.sys driver which I have had to troubleshoot on Windows 7 boxes in the past 2 years. OK so i renamed vwififlt.sys to .old and have had no problems since I have tuneup utilities keep telling me that this missing driver is causing problems, but I don't see any, anyway I saw a post here by zigzag to uninstall the driver and reinstall, but when you find the hidden vwififlt.sys driver in device manager... there is no option to roll it back or update or anything. How do I go about replacing this driver with a known good one from Microsoft or am I forced to use this same one and rename it back to .sys again, because thats what it looks like is my only option. Any ideas???

I received a response from writhziden to repost in a new thread with my dumps so I just ran the dumpers again with vwififlt.sys still named to .old
    See attached:

    Rename vwififlt.old to vwififlt.sys
    Reboot.

    Please either:
    - enable the devices and update their drivers before disabling them again.
    - uninstall the software for these devices and remove them from your system.

I don't know if it's related, but you have a Realtek RTL8187 Wireless 802.11b/g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter. Win7 doesn't like these devices and will BSOD rapidly if your drivers are from the Vista-era. Here's my rant about these devices:
I do not recommend using wireless USB devices. Especially in Win7 systems.
These wireless USB devices have many issues with Win7 - and using Vista drivers with them is almost sure to cause a BSOD.
Should you want to keep using these devices, be sure to have Win7 drivers - DO NOT use Vista drivers!!!
An installable wireless PCI/PCIe card that's plugged into your motherboard is much more robust, reliable, and powerful.
Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please uninstall the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): DuplexSecure - FAQ

Some free alternatives (I don't use them, so I can't comment on them)
KernSafe iSCSI initiator, Virtual CD/DVD-RW Emulator, Virtual Encryption Disk and Virtual CD/DVD-ROM Emulator All-in-One free software.
MagicISO - Convert BIN to ISO, Create, Edit, Burn, Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter/extractor/editor

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems.
Please uninstall all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Uninstall a program
Then, download and install a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from http://www.ati.com (in the upper right corner of the page)
    - Select the "Custom" installation option and don't let it install AMD OverDrive or the VISION Engine Control Center (if present)
Then use the ATI uninstall manager to uninstall the Catalyst Control Center (CCC). This is a separate issue and isn't required for the AMD OverDrive removal.

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Uninstall". Reboot for changes to take affect.
Sometimes the driver remains and continues to cause BSOD's. If this is the case for you, post back and we'll give further instructions for safely removing it.

If overclocking, please stop. Remove the overclock and return the system to stock/standard values while we're troubleshooting. Once the system is stable again, feel free to resume the overclocking.

Drivers from your Colasoft Capsa 7 (a networking program) date from 2009, please update or remove them: Colasoft - Free Network Analyzer for Windows & Retrospective Network Analysis Software

TuneUp Utilities drivers date from 2009. Please update or remove the program from your system.

The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs

Thanks, I appreciate your assistance, when I ran sfc /scannow again, this time it fixed the vwififlt.sys file, by giving me a new one, so i never had to rename the old one back from .old. That Realtek 8187 driver is for my Alfa AWUS 036h and It works great so I definitely don't want to mess with that driver, many people have had problems getting the drivers to work for their Alfa Awus 036hs. I need to use the wireless Usb adapter because it kicks ass and my atheros card doesn't have half the range, and I dont think it is capable of Colasoft packetbuilding program because I havent had a chance to really use it, but I need VirtualCloneDrive, I dont have Daemon Tools installed so i guess you are referring to VCD. I have not had any problems at all since disabling the old vwififlt.sys file, the purpose of this post was really to figure out how to get Microsoft to fix it and I think running SFC /Scannow did it for now. I uninstalled that AODdriver like you said, but I had actually just updated ATI yesterday. It looks like I have duplicates of some drivers, I had thought that when I updated them the old ones would become inactive and only be saved for rollbacks. I will spend some time analyzing your results, thanks again.
