Windows 7 - Question about all of these memory corruption issues

Why are so many people (myself included) suddenly seeing Memory Corruption Errors when installing Windows 7? Systems that appear to have been running previous versions of Windows fine for some time are suddenly crashing with this listed as a major culprit. What is different in Windows 7 that makes it so sensitive to memory errors?

Seems it usually pops up when installing Win 7 *AND* they have added memory.

I'm not so sure about that, especially in my case. Stable system running Vista Ultimate x32 for almost 2 years. Corsair memory, Asus board. "routine" upgrade...suddenly I get memory corruption? Then a brand new board, brand new memory and memory corruption? I think there is something different in Win 7 and its memory management.

From what I'm seeing Windows 7 puts a greater load on the memory controller compared to Vista, this often requires a bump in Northbridge voltage to get stable again. I've seen that one voltage adjustment fix a bunch of machines including my own system.
