ATI HD 3650 problems Hello,
I have a problem with my graphics card.
Its a ATI Sapphire HD 3650 512 DDR2
This is my motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
torrentg helped me out in this thread: Install AGP Drivers for HD 3850, 3650, 2400 PRO
When following his instruction i was able to instal the ati driver, and it works fine. As long as i dont do anything. The aerotheme and everything works great, but as soon as i start doing something, doesnt matter what, it crashes, most of the times it repairs itselfe, but sometimes i get a bluescreen.
I have attached the dump files from the last 2 crashes. | My System Specs | | OS Windows Vista/Windows 7 |

Uninstall your AVG and see how it goes after. Do not just disable as that will not help.
Also, you can update your D-Link card driver:

And if nothing helps, as I said, it's an nForce2 board with very old drivers and incompatible CPU to AGP driver:

If only for Vista, then install like this:
Right click it in device manager. Update driver software. Browse. Let me pick. Have disk. Browse. Double click on the .inf. Hit ok. But basicly my motherboard doesnt support my videocard? Almost. The motherboard doesn't support using Vista or Windows 7. The video card will work fine in XP with the chipset drivers for that.
But see how it goes after the network adapter is installed anyway. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number self built OS 7600.20510 x86 CPU P4 550 3.4 GHz HT running at 3.5 GHz Motherboard MSI PM8M3-V (MS-7211 v1.x) Micro-ATX mainboard Memory OCZ 2 GB(2x1GB) DDR400mHz running @ 414 mHz Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo HDMI Dual DL-DVI AGP Sound Card MOTU Traveler firewire studio interface 192 kHz 24 bit Monitor(s) Displays 22" widescreen Acer X223W LCD, 17" Compaq P75 CRT Screen Resolution 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 Keyboard Logitch Classical Keyboard 200 Mouse Logitech Mediaplay cordless PSU 350W generic Case Cybertronpc, it glows blue Cooling stock cpu fan, Ice-Q 3 gpu and system, many case fans Hard Drives SATA I x2 WD, 400 GB and 120 GB, SATA 2 WD Caviar Black 1 TB Internet Speed 1792/448 kbits/sec Other Info SATA II PCI fake RAID adapter, 1 GB Readyboost, original ATI Remote Wonder (even works with WMC perfectly), Logitech Rumblepad 2 game controller x2 |

Not sure. I don't know which card you have. You could try pulling it out of the machine totally, then boot to Windows. See how it goes. (as a test)
If that doesn't help, in device manager, go to system devices. Right click on the CPU to AGP controller. Update driver software. Browse my computer. Let me pick.
Show us a screenshot of available choices there shown. You can use the paperclip to attach the screenshot to a post. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number self built OS 7600.20510 x86 CPU P4 550 3.4 GHz HT running at 3.5 GHz Motherboard MSI PM8M3-V (MS-7211 v1.x) Micro-ATX mainboard Memory OCZ 2 GB(2x1GB) DDR400mHz running @ 414 mHz Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo HDMI Dual DL-DVI AGP Sound Card MOTU Traveler firewire studio interface 192 kHz 24 bit Monitor(s) Displays 22" widescreen Acer X223W LCD, 17" Compaq P75 CRT Screen Resolution 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 Keyboard Logitch Classical Keyboard 200 Mouse Logitech Mediaplay cordless PSU 350W generic Case Cybertronpc, it glows blue Cooling stock cpu fan, Ice-Q 3 gpu and system, many case fans Hard Drives SATA I x2 WD, 400 GB and 120 GB, SATA 2 WD Caviar Black 1 TB Internet Speed 1792/448 kbits/sec Other Info SATA II PCI fake RAID adapter, 1 GB Readyboost, original ATI Remote Wonder (even works with WMC perfectly), Logitech Rumblepad 2 game controller x2 |
