Message keeps coming up

Whenever I am away from my computer for a while and the switch user screen comes on where you have to click on the user name comes up to get back to my desktop I get the following msg comes up

I just click continue to get rid of it. My question is why is it coming up to begin with and how do I stop it from coming up?

thx

How are you switching users ?? ( which way exactly) also click details and send another screenshot with that please.

Have you updated your OS lately and/or also drivers ??

by the way, what type system / computer and whats the age on it ??

If you have an ATI card, probably due to CCC crashing. Download and install the latest driver from ATI/AMD's website.

Or use Regedit to disable CCC from starting with Windows, too.

I am not switching users. I am usually away from my computer for a half hour or more when it happens and I just click on my name to get back to my desktop and it is there. I cant click details until it happens again.

the computer is a custom built computer I got from school. It is about 4 years old. Win 7 is the OS. No driver update since then, which occurred in August.

thx

You're welcome. Do you know which onboard video you have? Still could be by ATI with CCC.

Alright, not CCC then.

You can check the event viewer for clues.

Copy and paste this to the start menu search box then hit enter:

%windir%\system32\eventvwr.msc /s

Then look at Windows logs. Application.

In event viewer, this is what I see:

Under admin events I get:

A timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the ShellHWDetection service.

The ScRegSetValueExW call failed for Start with the following error:
Access is denied.

Under windows logs:

The ScRegSetValueExW call failed for Start with the following error:
Access is denied.

If you need me to look elsewhere I will.

thx
