Black desktop after system Resore

After I did a system restore, my computer screen is black all I can see is my cursor and it takes forever for it to load to my real desktop.

Does it happen in safemode (F8)?

Why did you need to do a restore?

Is this a clean install or upgrade?

Hi imeem,

It looks like there's a solution here: Black screen with cursor [Solved]

Let me know if that helps.

I didn't try safe mode yet but I will. and I did a system restore because I suspect that my computer has sum virus or something related to that because all my contacts are spamming me with the same message, I tried msn on another computer and they didn't spam me.

and my computer is already windows 7 when I bought it. Also after the restore, my antivirus stopped working.

I am going to try undoing the restore to see if it will solve it.

Well either the undoing the restore fixed it or that it just magically stopped

I think I found something new on my computer. Either after this incident or I don't know, I notice that my computer says I have 2 local disk; C drive and Q drive. C drive is my primary and only hard drive and Q drive came out of no where.
