Beman,
I have a 17.3" screen and max resolution is 1600 x 900.
My desktop 24" monitor will do the 1920 x 1080.
Am I missing something?

well when I looked online, they came out with 2 versions! 1 with 1366x768 and the 1920x1080...also some laptops can do the 1080p maybe not yours, but doesnt mean others cant

Wasn't aware that laptops could go that high of resolution.
Learn something new everyday.
So it is based on the laptops graphic card capability. Right?

Of course, with Windows 7 you have the option of using larger than spec resolutions.....
