Could you be a little more specific? Do you mean the bios post, boot animation, or login screen. If you mean the first, no. If you mean the one of the other two, yes, ways have been found. Just tell me which and I'll give a link explaining how.

I am going to step out on a limb and assume you mean the login screen. That one is pretty easy and there is a great description on how to here.

Okay. I assumed a relatively simple way had been found since a thread from a few days ago asking about this had been marked as solved and went on for 9 pages. Turns out the thread had turned into a bunch of new members arguing amongst themselves and apparently it had been marked as solved to either keep attention away from it or because a mod realized it can't easily be done. I found this, which turns the loading animation in to a still image, but I doubt that is what you want. Trust me, after reading through 9 pages on nonsense, I've learned that it could be done in XP, but not 7 unless you have a degree in computer programming and know where every single file is stored in Windows.

I don't know anything beyond html and javescript, which is just for web design, so I haven't a clue how to do it either. I'm afraid your stuck. Unless you want the Vista loading screen. I could probably find a way to turn that back on. You can turn the animation off completely in msconfig, which might even make your computer boot faster.

Well, now I can only find ways to get the 7 boot screen working again when the Vista one appears. You can do a start-up repair with a Vista DVD for a easy way to do it.
