    Hi Stereo pal ! I can understand you , exactly what you want to say.

    Actually in vista or 7, almost all system folder view is live folder (half open folder with content peeping). It is not supported to change live folders with all the applications . You can do it with Stardock Iconpackager, I know it may be done with Microangelo, but never tried. All there are paid applications. A free bifurcate is the tutorial I posted in the previous post.

    Whatever it may be, to get live folder working properly, you have to get the icons in the attachments other than what you posted. If you dont have those , your icons will not be changed for all looks.

    It doesen't matter the forms ( shapes ?)of the folders.
    If they are blue,all...and in the future,when i create NEW FOLDER, blue,that's fine.
    Can you edit with resource hacker,in your PC,and than send it to me ?
    I just replace the imageres.dll in my Windows / System32

    Here you are, Stereo

    At first, Take Ownership of your original imageres.dll. Then rename it imageres.old or something. Now place the downloaded imageres in system32 folder, restart machine, and then Icon Cache - Rebuild . It should work, but only for large icon and extral large icon due to the icon used.

    You use it. At the first chance I will make a really good one for you.

    It is a bit of work but here is what you can do. Find and ICO that you like. Create a new Desktop.ini file and edit it like this: (change paths to your file).

    Code:
    [.ShellClassInfo]
    IconResource=D:\FolderIcons\Amethyst.ico,0
    Save the file, then add that file to all the folders in you want to have changed.

    Note: There are some folders you should not change like "Pictures" or "Videos" because it will change the way they display information. You could automate the process by scripting it. I hope that helps.
    So,after i create a new Desktop.ini and save it,do i have to add this in each folder i wanna change ? ( about 300 folders,or more ) :)
    Short answer yes, that is why I said to script it. However looks like Arc has a better way.
