Grouping pinned icons in superbar

My settings are set to never combine my taskbar buttons, but I also have some pinned icons on my superbar. If one of my pinned programs gets closed, it'll go into pin-mode in the middle of all the other programs it was next to. I was wondering if it could be possible to always have my pinned icons on the left side, and when the programs go into pin-mode after being closed, make them automatically go to the left side of the bar, to be grouped with the other pinned programs (it'd also be a plus if you could set a predefined order of icons when grouped). It's inconvenient to do it manually each time I open and close programs (and I think it looks bad having a pinned program in the middle of a bunch of running programs). :P

A program also opens up in the middle of a bunch of pinned icons (if I group them manually). It'd be nice if the program would go to the running programs side, as well as going to the pinned side after being closed.

PS. I was looking for a way, and this is the only real useful thing I've come across: Forum FAQ: How to deploy Windows 7 Taskbar Pinned Icons by Group Policy?

Is that what I need? I don't wanna risk it by messing with my registry blindly.. at least not without confirmation about the link, or something.

I know this isn't going to help you, but all (3 of) my pinned programs always sit at the left hand side of my toolbar. Either next to the start button or my Quick Launch.
Mind you when I did pin them they were, at the time, the only program I had open.
