    Windows 7 Wallpaper Help

So, I had Windows 7 Starter (x32) in this PC, and as I couldn't change my desktop background I downloaded Stardock My Colors and switched the wallpaper to a Gibson Pure one. Then I bought a code online to upgrade my Windows 7 into Windows 7 Ultimate, and after I had done this, I started to uninstall programs that I didn't need anymore, so I proceeded to uninstall Stardock My Colors. Then, to my surprise, when I tried to change my wallpaper (right click on desktop, personalize) it appeared to be successfully changed, but then I got back to the desktop and the Gibson wallpaper was still there. I've tried many things so far, I even installed Stardock My Colors again, but still I can't change my wallpaper not even with that program. Seriously, I need help here. Thanks.

Is at present you have MyColors installed ? Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware and uninstall with it. Srarch for leftovers using Revo, and delete them all .... all the leftover folders and registry entries (It's must) . Otherwise MyColors left its root in too deep in your system.

Now download and install CCleaner . Have a registry cleanup and disk cleanup using it.

Finally , run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker to fix if there is any system file corruption .
