I tried using those exact settings, but text and pictures behind the taskbar are still pretty blurry, could you post a screen shot with some text behind your taskbar so I can see what exactly yours looks like? Just move like an open window behind it and screen cap some text of anything would be great.

Well the text and pics are pretty blurry here a well. That reg entry just removes the white streaks from the taskbar which makes it a lot clearer. I now see what you mean when you said your icons faded away!!

Ah, yeah, I already got rid of the streaks with a custom theme, that's why I was wondering why no one has removed the blur before, but apparently it's harder than it seems. It just seems like it should just be a registry value or some png file or something like that to change it. I've still been looking around but I haven't found anything.

I'm found this Theme: YouTube - ‪Windows 7 Totally Transparent Start Menu + Taskbar‬‎ Taskbar is transparent(so is start menu)! Even more so with Tclock. I would attach screenshot but I cant get dropdown to respond.

There's an image of it (or something very similar) HERE which includes a download link.
    And there's another link here.

I had tried this one earlier, it's nice and it makes the start menu clear, but it doesn't really affect the blur on the taskbar, just sets it to no color.

The second link you posted (AaeroA) turned out to be the same theme as the one TBVNZ linked, the first one I haven't seen before but it seems to be similar, where the menus and windows are much clearer but the taskbar is still just as blurry without color.

Thanks guys for all suggestions, if you find anything else I'm willing to try anything.

For some unknown reason I am unable to add an attachment to the quick reply(probably this Tmobile dongle), but I would love to show you how clear and transparent my taskbar is. I dont know what page it is on ,but I posted my desktop in the "post your windows 7 desktop" topic a while back. If I find what page it's on I'll let you know.
