Customizing Desktop backgrounds

Ever since today, when i tried to edit my desktop backgrounds all my folders showed up under picture library, but now only a few show up.

And in some of the folders which do show up, not all the pictures are in them.

Thanks for your help

It was ok till the day of posting this thread, and just on that date you got the problem ?

If I understood you properly, I'd suggest you two alternatives :

1. System Restore to a previous day, assuming some recent activity caused that trouble ; and

2. Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker ; assuming there is a system file corruption.

I hope one of those must work

Yes, sorry if it seemed confusing.

I have tried both of your suggestions and it still doesn't work.
Thanks for trying though.

But now, my McAfee is acting up. The real-time scanning won't turn on.

Edit: This is the second time I've tried to change my wallpapers after system restore, and somehow my images are back, all of them. Thank you!

But now my antivirus doens't work. I have made sure that the McShield is 'started' on the services. But still no luck. I know this is now in the wrong section. But would you know how to solve it?

Probably yours a Dell, with AcAfee preinstalled ?

As system is restored, the virus definition database is rolled back to a previous one . If you try to update the database manually, I hope it will work again .

Indeed, removing McAfee and installing the award winning Microsoft Security Essentials is a very good idea. On 7 January 2010, Microsoft Security Essentials won the PC Advisor's Best Free Software award. It also recently one the very prestigious Virus Bulletin 100 award for August 2010. McAfee on the other hand, is famous for making millions of Windows XP computers unusable a few months ago, which you can read about here.

As the database was rolled over to a previous version, it took a time to get the latest . Nice to hear that everything is fine now

But the Advise given by Petey7 is something more than valuable . You can think about it. As an AV program, MSE is much much more efficient and user friendly than McAfee or anything . Just install and forget

If one would do research on this web site and web sites like this one I think one would do as Petey7 has recommended. IMHO McAfee screws up more computers than malware.
