    Context menu style changed

    Hi,
I have Win7 Ultimate, and I used the Classic windows style for a while. After I've switched back to Aero, when I right-click on a file, the context menu's style is different from the original style, and I don't know where I can change the appearance of it. (Image: http://i35.tinypic.com/4p6l4.jpg) It's interesting, that the "sub-context menu" (in this case the Homegroup sharing options) appears as it should. Does anybody know a solution?

If you are referring to the classic style highlighting of the first menu, then WinRar is one of the problems. Try disabling it's context menus and see if it works. Certain apps which add entries to the context menu have a problem with rendering the Aero look. WinRar, Windows 7 Firewall Control Plus and one popular AV come to mind. There may be others

I tried what you suggested, but unfortunately it didn't work. I reinstalled winrar, nothing changed, even when winrar was uninstalled, the context-menu had the classic style, although I disabled in Sysinternals Autoruns the Winrar context menu handler. I also disabled the context-menu handler in NOD32, uninstalled the Drivehq File Manager - nothing happened.

It's interesting, that in all accounts, the context menu has the classic style, not only in my account.

Anyway, thanks for your reply, I hope that I can solve this problem somehow.

It succeeded to solve the problem - the cause was Spyware Terminator. I recently uninstalled it, and the context menu reverted to normal.

You need not uninstall it. You can remove "Spy Terminator" context menu shortcut.
