    Customize Show Shadows Under Windows

    Hi guys,

I've been searching and searching but couldn't find how to customize shadows under windows. What I want to do is to make shadows bigger and lighter (less visible).

Does anyone know how to do that?

    Thanks

Cant be done unless you change to a visual style that has bigger shadows.

What do you mean by visual style? Would really like to change the shadows somehow.

    Cheers

Have a look here for Visual Styles

Look here on how to set up your system for installing Visual Styles.

Great stuff. Thanks for the links. Are there any tutorials how to create my own visual style? As I said just want to create different shadows and maybe change some colours of the window.

You would need Windows Style Builder (WSB) but you would have to pay for it!!

This is what I use: Download Y'z Shadow 1.9 Free - Adds a shadow and transparent effects to Windows - Softpedia
It customizes shadow size, color and placement. Plus it,s free!

Thanks mate. Looks like a cool app but it did not work very well for me in Windows 7.

    It says:

    Requirements

OS: Windows XP Professional or Home Edition
Please use 16 bits (65536 colors) of screen color depth or higher.

Caution: This software does not work in Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000.
