I would like to replace the spinning 3D Text screensaver with a simple logo, can that be done? :geek:

or perhaps you know of a free program that will allow me to do this?

You can highlight Window 7 (spinning) put whatever name you want/change fonts/ and whatever.
Don't know about logo changing.

not sure how though, will keep an eye on this thread in case someone comes up with a soloution

Use the software at the link in my post to create a font with say a letter or several to create your logo then use that font in windows to display the "letters" in the saver

eg use the software to make a logo to replace the letters ABC in the font then chose that new font in the screensaver and set the text to be ABC
