    Help on the icon overlay.

hey guys. It's already a a month of having these overlay icons on every shortcut that I put on my desktop. This happened when I used the theme manager of alienware for vista. I tried to uninstall that theme manager but every time I put a shortcut on my destop there's this DVD thing on the top of any icons on it. It's not happening on my folders like on My computer, Recycle bin etc. just only to the desktop shortcut icons. Im thinking of trying the arrow overlay remover but my windows 7 doesnt have any arrows on the shortcut icons so I assume it wouldnt work. I hope you guys can help me to fix this It's really annoying. Here is the picture

Hello Gabbb, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if using either one of the methods in the tutorial below may be able to restore the shortcut arrow overlay icon for you.

Shortcut Arrow - Change, Remove, or Restore

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

I would try re-installing the Theme Manager you had, then use something like Revo Uninstaller to uninstall it again and clean up all the remnants it leaves behind.
It looks to me that the Theme Manager has left something and it's looking for the original software.
