Changing Drag to Taskbar Behavior with Files?

To the registry gurus, is is possible to change the behaviour of dragging a file to the taskbar.

Currently right click, or left click dragging a file to the taskbar will let you pin that item to the taskbar. (two different actions having the same result, eek)

Personally I think that should be secondary to dragging and item to the program to open it, as in past windows editions.

I know if you want to open with the program you have to hold down shift.

Is it possible to have left click dragging an item on to a task bar item default to "open with" and have right click dragging an item to a task bar item be "pin to ****"?

No need to mess with the registry yourself. Just download the 7 taskbar tweaker. Its a tiny utility that'll do what you want.
