| Windows 7: How to make a small window larger |

How to make a small window larger I have a program that opens several smaller windows...[that] will not get larger when I try to use the mouse to stretch them.
A window will pop up on the lower left side of your screen that says "Taskbar and start menu properties".
How do you make that window larger?...
as previously stated, I have a program that I use..that when it opens..it has two smaller windows like this one...within it...I have the same problem with those smaller windows as you will have with this one...I cannot make them larger by placing the mouse prompt on the sides or bottom frame of the window and stretching it.
Hope this makes sence to you.
Thanks Again!
jim

Hello Jim, and welcome to Seven Forums.
Not sure about the others, but this can show you how to increase the size of the taskbar thumbnail previews. Taskbar Thumbnail Previews - Change Size
Hope this helps some,
Shawn

Thanks Again! Properties windows are un-sizable. I do not believe that they have ever had a size function. If they are too small to read all of the pertinent information, are you on your native display resolution? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Pugh Technologies OS W7 Professional x64 CPU AMD Athlon II X3 445 Rana 3.10 GHz Motherboard MSI 870A-G54 Memory PNY XLR DDR3 1600 4x2GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 (fermi) 1GB GDDR5 Sound Card Realtek ALC892 onboard Monitor(s) Displays ASUS VE205t, Viewsonic VX2035WM Screen Resolution 1600x900, 1600x1050 Keyboard Logitec 55 Mouse Razer Deathadder PSU Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W Case ThermalTake Armor A90 Mid Tower Cooling 3x 120mm in, 1x 120mm & 200mm out, self built hydro-cooler Hard Drives 977GB Hitachi Hitachi HDS721010CLA332

Some program windows are fixed size, ie. they cannot be resized or maximized. As LiquidSnak pointed out, some properties windows are fixed in their size.
Some programs are designed in this way too, they cannot be resized.
For example, this calculator program here is fixed in size (notice the maximize button grayed out). http://www.sevenforums.com/projects/69837-calc.html | My System Specs | | Computer type Laptop System Manufacturer/Model Number HP EliteBook 8530w Mobile Workstation OS Windows 7 Ultimate x86 build 7600 (XP, 98SE, 95, 3.11, DOS 7.10 on VM) + Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx CPU Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P8600 (2.40 GHz, 3 MB L2 cache) Motherboard Mobile Intel PM45 Express Chipset ICH9M-Enhanced Memory 2GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM Graphics Card ATI Mobility FireGL V5700 with 256 MB Sound Card SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays 15.4-inch WXGA anti-glare (1280 x 800 resolution) Screen Resolution 1280 x 800 Mouse Synaptics PS/2 Port Touchpad, USB Mouse Hard Drives 250GB Fujitsu MJA2250BH G2 ATA Device (IDE),

Thats ok Liquid...I understand whats going on with it. its a very old program I was trying to get to work in win 7 and it was created about 7 years ago..So very outdated and they went out of business and never upgraded the program to 64 bit.
I now have another issue with the Realtek HD audio manager..I posted over in the other thread...maybe you can help with that one.
