    Help needed, cant change background on my notepad


    Hi, im new to this and this is my first post, im hoping im going to get help. i have just received my new acer notepad with windows 7, i am trying to change the besktop background but cannot find any where that says "change desktop background" or the option to "set as desktop background" i have read on here that if its a windows 7 starter or something like that, how do i find out if it is or not? so sorry for sounding dumb but i am brand new to this!

    Hello Kirsty, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    Do you have Windows 7 Starter or Home Basic installed on your notepad?

    If so, then this is why you do not see an option to change the desktop background since those Windows 7 editions do not include that feature. The tutorial below can help show you how to use a free 3rd party program to be able to change your desktop background in these editions though.
