There is free version Arc, when you have a play around with it you will see what features you are missing out on like tabbed docks, multiple animated docks etc.
In OD 1.9 that I use presently , there is also a free version that lacks the tabbed dock only . I love tabbed dock set up as drawers

i haven't played much with docks since the days of Y'z.

anyway, i downloaded this free version of objectdock 2 and would like to know if there is any sneaky way to get the dock to sit on top of the taskbar (as in top layer), rather than underneath it? i couldn't see anything in the options/settings...

on my wide-screen i've got so much width of unused taskbar that i would like to have a dock there, in between my pinned icons and notification area.

if objectdock can't do this, can any of the alternatives?

Hi mate ! You probably cannot place it on taskbar as you want, but you can place it above tasakbar , like this

Click on configure dock docklet , and in the window click on positioning tab . Now uncheck "automatic distance fro medges, and using the slider below it , adjust the distance from the edge . You can place at any other ages too ... top, left or right .

BTW, mine is OD 1.9 plus till now ... but I hope the settings would be the similar

thanks, but i know that - but i want it to along the bottom of the screen but in front of the taskbar.

if objectdock cannot do it, can any free alternative?

There are a lot of free alternatives ....

    XWindows Dock
    RocketDock
    RK Launcher

Etc are some examples ... none of those can do it

Thanks for the heads up ,i thought i had posted in here already but i cant see it ,(obviously was having a sievehead moment)
just to say i used 1.9 for years and the new release (free) seems to operate better no lags and is faster , it takes a moment to get to grips with adding new icons etc ,no more drag and drop icon to change in configure, still, nice new package .

    great!

just a Q for those who have already tried the V2.0, does it work well on win7 ultimate 64 bit?

cause the older version i have in my system, doesn't automatically load during windows startup. i have to start it manually everytime i start my pc. btw, i got the "plus" version of the old one..

    any thoughts?

    TYVIA!
