Dire need to change the fonts

I changed the default font of windows7 from the tutorial(LinK).

So, here's the problem some fonts like the fonts in the attached image and also on a software(CCleaner) wont budge. I tried this code but to no good.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts]
"Segoe UI (TrueType)"="segoeui.ttf"
"Segoe UI Bold (TrueType)"="segoeuib.ttf"
"Segoe UI Italic (TrueType)"="segoeuii.ttf"
"Segoe UI Bold Italic (TrueType)"="segoeuiz.ttf"
"Segoe UI Semibold (TrueType)"="seguisb.ttf"
"Segoe UI Light (TrueType)"="segoeuil.ttf"
"Segoe UI Symbol (TrueType)"="seguisym.ttf"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes]
"Segoe UI"=-
Mind the last line..

They wont change.
and my brothers gonna kill me for this.

Plz help me.

By the looks of things it appears that only chrome's webpage itself is having font issues....not Windows 7 itself

Try checking your font settings inside of Google Chrome.

1. Click the Wrench.
2. Go to 'Under the Hood'.
3. Select 'Change font and language settings'.

By default they are;

Serif Font: Times New Roman, 16
Sans-Serif Font: Arial, 16
Fixed-width Font: Courier New, 13

Encoding: Western (ISO-8859-1)

If that doesn't work try removing Chrome and deleting all personal files then reinstalling it. If THAT doesn't work try doing a system restore to before this happened.

Apparently you haven't backed up that branch of the registry before altering it and now you don't remember what you did so you could undo it again ?

Wasn't there in Brinks Tutorial at the end a link to reset everything to the default state?
What I don't understand is the substitution line ...you're substituting Segoe UI with "-" ???
I don't think that's the right syntax
I would probably just delete that line (since in the unaltered version there is no substitution for that font in the registry)

well,
Zidane24-I have that font in all my browsers(Google chrome and FF).

I also have it in CCleaner.

So, it cant be only chrome's problem. It has to be related to some registry crap.

DarkNova- The default fonts are same in Google chrome.

DG- It will be more clear if you gimme the code.

What code do you need?

If you don't want to mess with the registry yourself, download the REG File from Brink, run regedit as administrator go to File/Import and point to the .reg file you just downloaded.
Then
log off and log on, or restart the computer to apply changes.

Last Thing I found:

To fix this in Windows 7:
  1. Right-click the desktop. Choose "Personalize."
  2. Click "Display"
  3. Click "Adjust ClearType Text"
  4. A window will pop up. Make sure its checkbox ("Turn on ClearType") is checked. Click "Next."
  5. Follow the prompts through the wizard, adjusting until the fonts look "right" again.
Hope that works for you
