I have downloaded internet explorer icons for my favorites that do not have icons. I have also changed the default icon from the e to the globe on a per favorite basis (not globally) and have not made it the default icon. The problem I am having is when I export my favorites then import them to another computer the icons for which I have custom icons and the ones I changed to the globe are displaying the e icon. My ico files are in the Windows/System32 folder, and I have copied these icons into the Windows/System32 folder of the new machine, but no luck in getting these icon images to transfer to the new machine. I am using IE version 8.0 and my Windows 7 is 32 bit.
Weird problem, explorer toolbar icons sometimes change to other icons
