Windows 7 - Tooltips won't change colors

Howdy...

Even after several attempts of changing the colors in advanced display properties the default light grey font/white background remains for the tooltips... anyone know why? or how to change it?

think U need to change it in aero.msstyles

OK, forgive me but how would you do that exactly?

Well, it's easy
U need to download software called restorator or else that allows U to explore inside a msstyle file.
First find aero.msstyle
Make a backup of original file
copy the file somewhere else rename it and paste it back in aero dir
just to make things easier later .
(U need to take ownership of the file)
then open it with downloaded program
extract 881 & 882.png
edit in some photo editor software that support png files
then import modified images and save.....not save as.

so it looks like you have to do some resourse hacking, correct? I was just curious if there was an actual setting somewhere, or maybe a registry entry I could change. If it's that complicated, then I'll just live with it. Thanks.
