    i just found this tutorial. i didnt try it myself, but it claims to remove some or all balloon tips. including the start button:

Switched to the XP-ish Classic Start Menu, plus Adjust for Best Performance, in the usual prescribed way, no third-party interface-modifiers. All looks & works fine except that the Start button itself looks like TWO buttons -- one atop the other and just slightly out of alignment (screenshot here)....

So i followed the guide to change the start button and i tried to use "windows 7 start orb changer" that is in the guide however i get an error http://i53.tinypic.com/2wexxth.png im running on administrator (only one profile) any ideas?:shock:
