    silly problem ( desktop background)

So i got a nice 2560 x 1440 (WQHD) display am i thinking " lets change that boring solid color background for this nice tropical wallpaper" and guess what? i cant do it. something so simple, " set as desktop background" nothing happens- tried different "themes" ( had to enable the service because i had it disabled) no luck, tried with the windows picture viewer, no luck, click on Desktop -> Personalize no luck. never had a problem with xp, but w7? everything has to be complicated. great. if i log off i cans see the wallpaper for a split second, but the rest of the time? black screen. i did chop of f a lot of unnecessary services @ useless garbage, is there any service im missing thats necessary for something so simple?

Simple question: Did you "save changes" - button on the bottom right in your second picture.

BTW; with the amount of services you disabled, one never knows what's going to happen.

Nothing wrong with using XP instead. Saves RAM and you don't have to learn anything new.
