Sorry for bringing back an old thread, but this is exactly what i'm trying to do and it doesn't seem to work anymore?

I'm trying to get them to work with RocketDock. It won't work from the app shortcut or adding them on the dock.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

They are ico file types, yes. Does it have to be irfanview in particular?

What i've been doing is making a shortcut to the program on desktop, changing the icon and just dragging it onto Rocketdock, just when I open it up it's the default icon

dont pin it to the task bar. open it right click it, proporties change the icon close the program open it again and is should be good. then you can pin it if you want.

I've got nothing pinned. Doesn't make much sense. I just tried Object Dock as well and it does the same thing.
