    stoopid arrows

    Good Am folks,

I get these arrows on a lot of my icons, jpegs, wav, any kind of file that I save. Question is, how do I remove them? I have installed photoshop elements 9 and believe this program to be the culprit. How do I get rid of these? I have searched all the options, etc., and can not seem to find anything...help please.

whatever program you have set as default will typically change the icon for files and shortcuts you associate with it.

if you would like to reset to windows7 defaults:

just wished I recognized exactly which program caused it, but feel sure it is PSE9

Just tried, and the answer is no. It has those arrows on txt files, adobe files too. This has me baffled. If it were PSE9, I certainly would understand jpegs, etc.

I tried rebuild icon cache, and din't do the trick. What ever icon I click to open, flac included, it opens the correct program to handle the file type I have set as default program for handling the icon I chose to open.
