    hi, i was wondering if this was possible to keep the "calendar" opened at all times?

    no, you can't keep it opened all the time (not the same as 'pinned' in windows7-speak.)

    i use rainlendar - it's infinitely more useful than the windows calendar, as you can set appointments, alarms etc with it, very customisable too...and free!

    im not looking for a 3rd party app. just something to keep that opened in the background.

    you'll need a third-party to keep it opened - it wasn't designed for that use.

    don't you have the date already under your clock? - no you don't...is it because you have a small taskbar?

    i purposely made a small taskbar, i just want that opened, thanks anyways (unless you can link me to the specific thing i want, not rainmeter ect.)

    What would the difference be in having that open constantly and having a gadget, as pinning it open would effectively be just how a gadget is...
