    Navigation pane customization

    Hi all!

I've used some registry hacks to customise my Navigation pane so that is has only the following entries:

    - favorites
    - computer
    - network

"Show all folders" is ticked off. Now I don't know what might have cause this and I'm not sure when it happened, but now the entries look like this:

    - favorites
    - user's home folder
    - computer
    - network

How can I make the user folder disappear?

    Thanks!

    Hello Higgins,

This can show you how to remove the User folder from the navigation pane.

User Folder - Add or Remove from Navigation Pane

    Hope this helps,

Thanks a bunch! I googled, but couldn't find it.

Thanks to you I was also pleased to find how to remove those pesky entries from open/save dialogues. :)

Btw, is there a way to add Recycle Bin to the Navigation Pane while keeping the "Show all folders" ticked off?

I'll have to look into that and see, but you could add the Recycle Bin to the taskbar for easy use.

The taskbar solution isn't that much for me... but the Recycle Bin becomes available in the Nav bar when you double click the Bin icon. Then it's there as long as you keep the window open. I tend to open Explorer with Win+E though.

You could also drag the Recycle Bin icon on your Desktop into Favorites in the navigation pane and release to add a link to it there.

I'll post back if I find a way to add it separately in the navigation pane though.
