Windows 7: Folder Pictures Revert

Folder Pictures Revert

I have a relatively wide folder directory for a particular project, the arborescence of this projectís folders is broad and goes very deep and gets very complex; in order to navigate with ease, I have decided to invest a little bit of my time into making custom image files to set as Folder Pictures. This worked out quite fine, but it often happens that the folders will revert to their original image, which is, without the one I put there; I do not know what causes the revert.

Is there any way to prevent this revert from happening and having my image stay there for as long as I wish it to stay? You have to understand, I invest quite a bit of time making these images and setting them to the correct folder, they help me navigate through complicated folder paths and when they are lost, it gets me quite upset.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
