It looks like you shortcut arrow overlay has been change to the uninstall icon that you are seeing instead. The free program in Method Two of the tutorial below will allow you to either change it back to the shortcut arrow, or remove it completely.

Thanks Shawn I was going for the same thing after I updated itunes & I do not have that, mine looks like the one I posted in post #2 & I have removed the shortcut arrow to

well I tried that method 2.
when I chose no arrow, it asked to log out, but then it hit an error message saying that it couldn't log out.. so I logged off myself to see if that would work but it didnt..
