    How do i remove this CD thing beside my icons on the Desktop


    hope im on the right thread :L

    well beside my icons on the desktop i have this wee CD thing. Its really annoying and takes up most of the icon. Any one know how to remove it ?


    I have attached an image to show you the CD beside the iTunes icon.

    Welcome to the Seven Forums
    Here is the icon in a .png & .ico I will start my other PC it has itunes & check where to change them

    Hello Jamie, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    It looks like you shortcut arrow overlay has been change to the uninstall icon that you are seeing instead. The free program in Method Two of the tutorial below will allow you to either change it back to the shortcut arrow, or remove it completely.

    What happened when you used the program to change the shortcut arrow back to the default arrow, or remove it?

    well I tried that method 2.
    when I chose no arrow, it asked to log out, but then it hit an error message saying that it couldn't log out.. so I logged off myself to see if that would work but it didnt..
