Well I use Launchy in 7. In fact I resurrected it having used the very simple Google Launcher which comes when you install the Google Toolbar in IE (tho it runs completely independently of IE - odd marketing technique that!).
I had found Launchy 2.1.2 a bit glitchy in XP but it is excellent in 7.

So am I a fool, should I be using the start menu exclusively (I still use it a lot - never use traditional control panel anymore).

Anyway I'm using the so called Windows7Launchy skin I found at deviantArt by Maxwaine - I'm going to try yours Garbanzo - thankyou.

you're certainly not a fool for using Launchy! it's quite a lot 'smarter' than the start menu search bar, and can 'learn' key combinations that you use frequently and prioritize them. for example, mine has learned that i want "ff" to call up Firefox, but typing "ff" in the start menu doesn't get me anything at all.

plus, with so many great plugins, Launchy is still a wonderful tool.

i saw that other Windows 7 skin on DA, and i like the idea well enough, but there's far too much white space for me. it could be easily made half that height, and the output text could be bigger and bolder to fill up some of that room. but hey, it's all a matter of personal preference in the end

I used to love Launcy but have not installed it yet on W7...now that there are a couple of skins I might just give it go!

    Thanks :)
