How to get rid of taskbar icon websites

When I Right click my browser icon in the taskbar, it has listed 3 items which I cannot delete or unpin. These items are: Open New Tab, Open New Window and Enter Private Browsing. When I Right click on these items, it only comes up with Open. Anything else has an unpin icon on the right side of that item. So, how can I delete the above mentioned items. BTW, my browser is Firefox 4 Beta. OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit. I believe they call this Jump lists.

Hello Gilloz, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Those items in the Jump List are called "Tasks" and do not have a option to remove them by default as "Pinned" items do. However, you might give the free program in the tutorial below a try to see if you may be able to customize and remove them with it.

Jumplist Launcher - Create Custom Jump Lists

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Brink, you're a genius. Thank you so much. You have no idea how many forums I asked this question and if I was lucky to get a response, their solutions never worked. Your link on how to customize the Jump list did the trick. Thank you again. I have found a forum that I will stay with for my Windows 7 needs. Have a good one.
