completely remove 'recent items' option from save as/open dialog

    Have you tried just right-clicking on recent items and selecting remove? Seemed to work for me...

    Hello MaverickBlue, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    Normally in the Start Menu, that would work. However, the OP is referring to tryin to remove Recent Items from the location boxed in red below in the common dialog window (ex: Save As, Open, etc...).

I followed the tutorial here but that's not necessarily what I need, I wanted to know if there was a way to turn off recent docs that can be viewed when highlighting on a certain program. For example, Paint in the screenshot.
