    Favorites folder locaion

Whereas the Favorites link in my Windows start menu points to the path '...\Favorites', the Favorites link in the navigation pane of Windows Explorer points to the path '...\Links'. How can I change the path for the Favorites link in Explorer's navigation pane to '...\Favorites'?

    Hello Andreas,

These are two separate folders and should not be placed as one.

Favorites in the navigation pane is actually your C:\Users\(user-name)\Links folder, and is for your favorite shortcut "links" to use while in Windows Explorer.

Favorites in Internet Explorer is your C:\Users\(user-name)\Favorites folder, and is for your favorite website shortcuts to use while in Internet Explorer.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

... o.k., thanks a lot. The terminology is a bit confusing: the name of the link in the navigation pane is "Favorites", but the folder that it points to is actually "...\Links" ...

You're most welcome Andreas. Yeah, it wasn't a good idea to have both of them named Favorites like that.
