taskbar wont stay UNhidden

sorry if this is misplaced, but i figured the taskbar would be part of customization.

i see millions of people posting about their taskbar always showing, but my problem is the opposite. and i can find NOTHING on the internet about getting my task bar to stay UP and SHOWING.

i un-check the 'auto-hide taskbar' button, but sooner or later it randomly hides, and i need to un-check it again. ive noticed it happens sometimes when i unplug or plug in my laptop, but other than that, its up sometimes when i start it up, or hidden, seems to be random.

Does anyone else use your computer?
And do you have any modification ("tweaking") programs that might have done that?
You have an interesting situation there.

Expanded Taskbar Wont Stay Thru' Reboot
I've noticed that if I choose to have an expanded taskbar as in the attached thumb, it doesn't stay that way through a reboot and I have to do it all over again despite locking it. Just an FYI.
