| | Windows Reshuffling Desktop Icons Windows keeps reordering my desktop icons, for example moving the "my computers" shortcut in with the rest of the shortcuts, instead of where i leave it (at the top of the desktop). Is there a way to disable this? |

| | The problem with that is my icons no longer fall into a neat grid arrangement- they hover exactly where I left them. I'm trying to get the same desktop arrangement that I had in XP, with My Computer, Recycle Bin, and Firefox leading on the top so they're easy to reach. |

| | Right click on the Desktop > View > Align to Grid .  Probably it is unchecked there . Check it now .... icons will stop placing wherever . |
