    custom theme balls up

    Hi all,

Can somebody please help me out here.I have tried following the tutorial on how to enable custom themes without modifying system files.
Firstly i disabled the user account control.I then installed UxStyle Core Beta.everything went ok. So i rebooted and enabled user account control again.
I then downloaded a theme called cyborgs by razorsedge. Which said that i would need 2 install "theme resource changer" and this would stop me needing to edit any settings.
I did this but this is where i got a bit confused. In the instructions to "theme resource changer" it said to put these 3 folders in my theme folder."explorer.exe" "explorerframe.dll" "Shell32.dll". But wen i went to do this. The folders were already there. So i moved on to install the theme. i extracted the theme to C;/windows/resources/themes.
I then went to select the theme in the personalise folder. The theme was'nt showing up in there.
I tried to apply the theme the C;/windows/resources/themes, folder but it just changed my theme 2 a basic 1.
I thought it may not b working because i had installed the resource changer program. So i uninstalled it.
Now i just want to know how to get my system back to how it was b4 i started.
Can i just do a system restore to get thing's back to normal?
I am at a total loss now. I should'nt ofrealy tried it in the first place really.
I'm not having any problems. I would just like to put things back to how they were.

any help will be GREATLY APRECIATED. Thank you in advance.
i have team viewer installed if that helps at all.

Am i right in thinking i can just do a sytem restore as no system files have been changed? Or did they get changed wen i installed the theme resource changer?
I'm not totally in the dark when it comes to pc's. I usually manage ok. I just lost track with this as i was skipping to and from another tutorial.

Sorry 4 the way my post was orinally set out and i hope this has helped.

    Hiya!
No i havent tried another theme. It's not the theme that is the prob lol. Thats down to me n no sleep. Among other things lol. Your xp theme does look nice tho.

i just want 2 know. If i do a system restore. will my pc go bk to how it was b4 i installed UxStyle Core Beta?Or do i need to do sfc/ scannow? As i am not sure what it is that it actually did. i know it makes the pc think that the 3 files r patched. Restore or will that cause problems? i would think it the best option myself but i may be wrong.. Thats why im here lol

Cheers! i'll just uninstall it and do sfc /scannow as it's not causing any probs that i know of. Then if the worse comes to the worse i'l just do a clean install of win7 if need be. Otherwise it's all honkey dorey. we will see lol. time 4 me 2 go 2 bed. knackered and got 2 be up in 5hrs. thanks 4 ur opinion
