    Changing Wallpaper Fade Time

    Hey guys,

I was just wondering if there's a way to change the fade time of the wallpaper slideshow. I don't mean the time the OS waits before fading to a new wallpaper, I mean the actual time to transition from one wallpaper to another. I believe right now it's like 2 seconds or something, and it would be awesome if that can be changed to give the desktop more of a dynamic feeling.

    Thanks.

    Hello, welcome to Sevenforums!

Try to create your own personalization (theme), and mark all the wallpaper as you wish to collect. Below the wallpapers, there should be:
    Time controlling
    Effect
    Size

    - And stuff like that.
    Hope I could help.

This is a little bit more advanced than a simple wallpaper option. I am very well aware of the options you mentioned, but again, I do not wish to change the time interval of when to change the wallpaper. My aim is to change the time it takes for 7 to fade in a new wallpaper. I am trying to modify the actual transition time, not how often to change the wallpaper.

Did you find a solution? I'm also looking for a way to change the fade time.

When you go to personalize and then desktop background there is a drop down menu titled by "Change picture every:" and then you can select the time between the changes.... You have to select multiple images above it for the wallpapers to enable this.

Are you retarded or do you just not know how to read?
He clearly states multiple times that he does NOT want to change the time interval between wallpaper changes. He wants to change the duration of the "fade" effect between the two (or more) images.

    OH....
if that is the problem then it is impossible to modify something like this... The only way thought is to modify the code of windows in witch this is specified... But for that you need mayor skills in C++ programming

Perhaps this interval is stored somewhere in the registry?
