Where is my "Next desktop background" option ?

I used to change my desktop background frequently. But now, It doesn't work anymore. It's still a slideshow but it just doesn't work. I don't know what happened. Can anyone help me ?

One more thing, my laptop cannot be shut down anymore. I must click "sleep" and let it shut down automatically.

Help me please. Thank you very much
