    Screensaver shortcut / hot key

    Hello everyone,

(NOTE: Please go to - Start > Computer > Local Disk > Windows > System32 - for the file "scrnsave.scr")

I got a shortcut of "scrnsave.scr" to be created on the desktop from the folder "System32". I've even assigned it a shortcut key combination.

However, it automatically switches the screensaver I set to a blank screen. What I had set and I want, is just one photo to be displayed constantly on the screen.

How do I solve this problem?

    Regards,

    Etienne.

EDIT: I discovered that this file's description is "Blank Screen Saver". I cannot right-click and configure the file to display what I'd like. Right-clicking on "scrnsave.scr" and then "install" and changing it to "Photos" works, but it gets switched back upon closing the box. Could it be that there is another file somewhere else or can I do something to change its properties?

Hello Etienne, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you like, you should be able to create a shortcut to the Photo screensaver with the PhotoScreensaver.scr file instead for this.

    Hope this helps, :)

Thank you very much Shawn! I appreciate your warm welcome and the immediate solution to my problem.

This thread didn't last long, but at least it's there as a reference point to anyone else with the same trouble.

    Again, thank you!

    Etienne. ^_^
