Start Menu Exclusions
Is it possible to exclude specific programs from appearing in the list on the first window of the Start Menu? I'm not talking about the pinned items section, but the one below that for frequently used programs.

right-click and 'remove from this list'?
...or do they come back?
sorry if it's really obvious...
No problem deleting them, but they come back again the next time that I open the program.
You can right click on the Start orb, then click properties and uncheck the box "Store and display recently opened programs...." under "Privacy". But you cant pick and choose so best thing is to uncheck that box then pin the programs you actually want to the start menu.
Thanks, but I was aware of that. Perhaps that is what I will do...not sure.
Thanks, but that article is for XP rather than Windows 7. It might work on this also, but the fact that it stated that it was not for my OS prevents me from experimenting with it.
