    Desktop Settings Won't Stay Put!

Every time that I boot up I have to reset certain settings, as they will not stay where I set them. For example, I have a Media Player Gadget on my desktop and the skin keeps reverting to default, even though I set it to "aero" every time. Another example: I am running RocketDock at startup and the skin on that will not stay where I set it. Today when I booted up a little screensaver switch program that I run was un-registered, when I had entered the registration code when I installed it several days ago. This is driving me NUTS! Does anyone know why this is happening? Why won't my skins and other desktop setting stay where I set them? This is a brand new PC running WIndows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Service Pack 1. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

Please go to Control Panel - User Accounts
and tell us, is your current user an administrator and is that user password protected?

Yes, of course. It is my machine, I am the administrator and the account is password protected. Most issues seem to have been resolved except for one desktop gadget - the Windows Media Player Gadget by Owadel. The skin will not stay put on it and I have to reset it in every boot.

    Thanks for your response!
