    Hi,

Can someone please tell me a good but easy'ish :) piece of software for creating images like avatars and signatures for beginners (I know that little about graphics that I would even go as far as saying that I am a beginner at being a beginner )

I am determined to make it work before 2012 :)

    Regards,

Jamie pal ... most graphics packages are only as hard or easy as you want them to be. There are thousands of tutorials out there on the web, it just takes time and lots of practice.
Before you go spending your money on software just to create sigs and avatars why don't you try out GIMP. It's free and like I said you could follow some of the tutorials untill your comfortable with it. If you then want to develop further you could go for one of the more professional packages like Corel or PS etc.
Download the trial versions and try them out before you pick the one that suits you best.

In photoshap, you are to change the layer's opacity . It is the same fot GIMP and Paint.net . This is how it works ....
