windows 7 falls back to vista boot animation

i hope i post this in the right place...
i have the following problem concerning the boot screen animation of windows 7.

i have created a winpe environment using microsoft tutorials and Windows opk. if i normaly copy the files onto a usb flash drive for example everything works as expected and the nice boot animation appears.

if however i use the tutorial to set the stuff up on a normal active partition from a hdd in my computer: decompres the wim and manually set up a the bootloader with bcdedit the old vista ugly annimation comes up, even though i use the exact same files.

if it helps i also remember the old vista animation appearing when i installed windows 7 on a GUI - EFI partitioned harddisk and i was unable to fix it.

as requested i am adding the links to the tutorials which i folowed to the letter:
    for image build: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...33(WS.10).aspx
for creating the boot part (this type has the problem): http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...94(WS.10).aspx
    this one works fine: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...59(WS.10).aspx

any idea would be greatly apreciated.
    thanks

    on a normal what?

Are you applying the boot.wim to small partition on a regular HD and booting that up?

How are you booting the boot.wim? A link to the tutorial would also be useful.

Are you by chance using an old version of EasyBCD to boot it?

hey, i have added the links in the initial post. i am not using easybcd at all, i manually edit with microsofts instructions provided.

and yes i am applying boot.wim to a small active partition to and booting it up, sorry i didnt make that clear right away.
if i apply boot.wim then the boot proces shows vista annimation. if however i keep it as boot.wim and dont apply it and use it to boot (like i would form a usb drive) animation works fine.

    Bcdedit -store c:\boot\BCD -set <GUID> locale en-US

Obviously use the correct path for the bcd store on your little partition.

    hey there.
i have another question and dont want to start new topic because its very similar.

i have created a winpe image (using the boot to ramdisc tutorial) and i am able to boot it in efi mode using boot64.efi.
i have tried the above fix to set up the animation on the /efi/microsoft/boot/bcd store on my flash drive but it still wont work and am stuck with the crappy vista animation. can anyone help?
